6/11/20 Jersey Aero Club plans to provide a wide and varied selection of both social and flying events next year. During the gradual re-opening of the club, and in line with the current Jersey Government COVID-19 restrictions, we are pleased to be able to start a program of evening events.
These evening events will be limited to 40 people (as per COVID-19 gathering requirements) so we have implemented a pre-registration system using EventBright.
As we need to arrange to open the clubroom for these events, there will be a small charge of £5 to register which will help support the club, but also includes your first drink free – yes that’s right – the bar WILL be open (albeit with a limited selection of drinks).
We really hope to see members attending these events.

- Event 1 – GPS: Planning, Navigation, and Conspicuity Devices

- An evening hosted by David Brown and Mike Fleming
- Handouts will be provided with useful tips, but for best use of this session we want it to be interactive so come along and share your collective experiences – we seem to learn something new about these products every day!
- You don’t need to own SkyDemon or Rosetta or SkyEcho but may be thinking about buying something – especially as there are currently discounts available
- Event 2 – Share your flying stories
- Date: TBC – Late November / December
- Registration: TBC
- Suggested by members in flying groups and on Facebook and we think this is a good idea
- Perhaps set a time limit of 10-15 mins for a story or event
- Some shorter, some longer, but let’s share some interesting stories and discussions
- All welcome – flyers and non-flyers
- Event 3 – An evening with practical flying advice / Christmas Drinks
- Date: TBC – December
- Registration: TBC
- Suggested by members so thought we’d combine with Christmas drinks and nibbles
