About JAC

logo-700x200
The Jersey Aero Club (JAC) was formed in 1950 with the objective to foster an interest in aviation. The objective has not changed and the Club has evolved into one of the most impressive and best loved clubs in the British Isles.

We have a fresh, modern Club House located at the end of Jersey airport’s runway containing our Flying Operations for students and flying members plus General Aviation facilities for private visiting pilots of light aircraft and a pilot shop. Upstairs The Aviator Bar and Restaurant offers delicious food and a large balcony view of the runway. On-site Engineering is available and they will gladly try to schedule maintenance to accommodate your visit.

The Club is very proud of the hundreds of local and visiting students who have trained with us. Many now enjoy a rewarding career in aviation and others continue to enjoy the freedom and interesting social life a Private Pilots Licence (PPL) can offer.

Learning to fly in Jersey is unique because of its location and rare blend of professional training in busy airspace with helpful Air Traffic Controllers. All our cross country training takes place over France (don’t forget your passport!) and this gives pilots the additional confidence to navigate and plan trips into international air space. We have an impressive fleet of Piper PA28 & PA32 aircraft, and a high standard of instructors and a welcoming social atmosphere for visitors old and new.

Each year we organise a variety of Flying Events and competitions for novice and experienced pilots. Further details will appear on this website or on the Members’ Notice-board at the Club House.

If you have an interest in Aviation you are welcome at JAC. Membership can be offered on a temporary day basis or annually depending upon your requirements. Please call our friendly Flying Operations Team on +44 (0)1534 743990 for any further information you need.
