JAC COVID Update – 3 December 2020

December 3, 2020 By Web Master

As you will be aware following the Chief Minister’s address last night and further information in the press today, the situation in the island has escalated and some drastic measures come into force overnight.

Clubroom / bar

The clubroom will close today and will remain closed until further notice due to the fact that the premises have a liquor license and must close for the duration of the ‘Hospitality circuit-breaker’.

We are seeking clarification as to whether we can operate as a members-only room with an honesty system for tea and coffee etc, but until we can get that clarification we must remain closed.

Airside Access

Airside access will continue as it currently does with the requirement to contact Ports of Jersey Security Supervisor for access.

As you are aware we are in the process of moving over to a new system, and as soon as that is completed and you have been advised that your card has been enabled for airside access you will be able to access through the front door and the airside door without calling Security, but the clubroom will remain closed.  Toilet facilities will be available should you need them on the way to or from airside.

Please note that as the clubroom is closed, the front door will no longer remain open between 10am and 5pm so you will need to wait outside for security until such time as we complete the roll-out of the new member airside access system and enable (or provide new) cards as required.

Finally

We must all take responsibility for our actions during these difficult times and do all we can to ensure the safety of ourselves and others.

Kind regards and stay safe

Derek Fage
Chairman
