ImageFifteen members and friends turned up for the club trip to Dinan to celebrate Bastille Day.

Most club aircraft were booked so our chairman, Jon Gready, kindly offered to take some of the party in his plane.  Meanwhile, Sean and Andrew Morvan came up the river by boat, and Jennifer Bridge and children travelled with their car on Condor.

There was no parking at the port so members ambled down the steep cobbled street and ate at Les Terraces.  Sean Morvan kindly offered to host everyone on his boat, which he had thoughtfully moored directly in front of the field where the
Quatorze Juillet fireworks were being let off.  By this time it was dark, the live band was booming out traditional music and crowds were thronging either side of the river, pushing against the safety barriers.

On Saturday Rupert and Melanie Maddox appeared with friends Tom and Jennifer in their twin Comanche.  Les Terraces was once again chosen for dinner, and flambéed crêpes were a popular choice for pudding!

On Sunday the festivities continued with all the local villages competing against one another in river boat jousting.
