Despite the poor weather conditions 35 aircraft managed to attend the Jersey Aero Club’s first Fly- In, held on 26/27 May.
Around 80 visitors and club members attended a Vin d’Honneur, kindly sponsored by Jersey Tourism, at which Tourism & Marketing Director David de Carteret thanked the team for creating and running the event. The guests then enjoyed Marcel and Wayne’s excellent buffet and Clive’s lively disco in the Millibar on Saturday evening.
Sadly not everyone was able to stay for the social events as the weather forecast for Sunday was not good and some had to prudently fly back on Saturday. Presentations were made to the winners of the various competitions and a full report by event organiser Eveline Hawkin will follow when she has returned from holiday.
