Take a trial flying lesson with the Jersey Aero Club. Handle the controls of the modern four-seater dual controlled aeroplane under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor and at the same time you and two of your friends in the rear seats can enjoy the wonderful views of the island and the French Normandy coastlines. Don't forget the camera! All flights take place in modern four-seater Piper Cherokee aircraft, and there are three flights of varying duration you can choose from with certificates available to remind you of your first piloting experience. Round the Island Flight (30 minutes) - £75.00
Flight to the French Coast (50 minutes) - £125.00
Flight to the Normandy Landing Beachers (1 hour 20 minutes) = £225.00
On all the trial lessons you may have up to two family members or friends accompany you, however they will need to take out a temporary club membership of £5 each. This flight takes you around the island of Jersey, following the bays and headlands, passing over Elizabeth and Gorey Castles and the spectacular north coast.
This flight takes you overt the north coast to the Ecrehous, Cap de Carteret and then south along the French coast to St Germain before returning to Jersey to fly along the South coasy and over St Aubins bay.
This flight takes you across the Cherbourg peninsular to the second world war "D-Day" landing beaches, enabling you to see from the air some of the most importan sites in modern history. Your return will take you over St Mere Eglise, made famous in the film "The Longest Day".
