A new Jersey Aero Club website that will eventually allow you to make on-line flight bookings has now been rolled out.

One of a number of exciting new developments on the horizon concerning the various systems used by the club, the website has been given a new look and feel to reflect the rebranded look of the Jersey Flyer newsletter.

It has also been given a number of additional features including:–

  • links to the latest and most popular items on the front page
  • a new Events calendar for flying and social events
  • an updated News section that has both Latest News and Club Member Achievements
  • a Gallery where we can display pictures from club trips and events
  • a new Downloads section that has various forms and information that can be downloaded, and also the ability for club members to sign in and get access to committee minutes (logon details to be provided at a later date)

Additionally you will see a link for Online Scheduling, which is not currently enabled.  However, the club are installing some new software to help manage the flying activities that should be up and running by April.

Not only will this automatically email members details of their aircraft hire or training bookings but will also automatically send emails of any changes made for operational reasons.

In Phase 1 of this implementation, we will be providing the ability for you to log in and check instructor and aircraft availability on-line to provide a faster and more efficient booking service when you call the flying desk to make your reservation.

In future phases we will be able to provide individual logins so that you will be able to access a list of your current bookings, and also be able to make provisional bookings that the flying desk can then check and confirm on your behalf.

More details of the new club systems will be provided in due course by email, on the new website and in future editions of Jersey Flyer.
